Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn and Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin will hold talks in the near future. The announcement was made in Minsk by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov.

“In the coming days, another meeting of our prime ministers will take place,” he said after a meeting with Aliaksandr Lukashenka, according to TASS.

According to Lavrov, the meeting also covered upcoming events.

“We discussed the events scheduled for this month. There will be an international cultural forum, as well as a forum in Brest dedicated to the beginning of the Great Patriotic War. On the sidelines of this forum, a session of the Parliamentary Assembly of Russia and Belarus will take place,” he said.

“In short, the intensity of our ties is well known to everyone. This benefits not only the efforts of our countries’ leadership to determine the future path of development of the Union State, but also ordinary, normal human interaction, which is the most important and most solid foundation of our fraternal relations,” he added.

Lavrov noted that he had also discussed international affairs with Lukashenka.

“Naturally, the situation surrounding the Ukrainian crisis was at the centre of attention, as is regularly the case during meetings between our leaders,” he said.
