Authorities in Belarus continue to pursue cases following the designation of the European Humanities University as an extremist organization. Earlier, it became known that a criminal case had been opened concerning the financing of EHU dating back to 2016.
According to the Viasna Human Rights Center, authorities initially carried out searches and interrogations of individuals connected to the university. However, the KGB has recently changed its tactics.
People with some connection to EHU are now receiving phone calls from KGB officers inviting them to attend interviews.
The rights group did not specify what takes place during these interviews or what consequences they may have.
