The International Cycling Union (UCI) has lifted restrictions on Belarusian athletes. From July 1, they will be allowed to compete in individual and team events under the UCI’s authority while representing Belarus under the national flag and anthem.

At the same time, the UCI is maintaining restrictions on Russian cyclists. They will continue to compete under neutral status.

The International Olympic Committee had previously recommended that sports federations lift restrictions on Belarusian athletes.
