The Main Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK), with the support of special forces, has detained a 26-year-old resident of Mahiliou Region. The young man is accused of rehabilitating Nazism.
According to police, since May 2022 the man had “produced and published videos, photographs and audio recordings aimed at justifying Nazi ideology, portraying it as correct and worthy of support and imitation, as well as glorifying Nazi criminals and their accomplices and praising the crimes they committed.”
The materials were allegedly distributed through groups and channels in messaging apps as well as on social media platforms. The Interior Ministry also stated that he profited from these activities, earning more than $3,000, including from “songs of an extremist nature.”
