Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginienė plans to meet with U.S. President’s Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale. She announced this in the Seimas after meeting with representatives of opposition factions in the Lithuanian parliament.
“Today we are talking not only about joint actions with neighbouring countries, about this being a hybrid attack, not only with the European Commission about a broader sanctions package, but also with the Americans,” she said, adding that she would meet with Coale, Delfi reported.
Ruginienė also responded to questions about a drone that, according to the Belarusian side, flew in from Lithuania yesterday and crashed in Hrodna.
“I know about this fact, but it really has nothing to do with Lithuania, and we have nothing to do with it. I have no information from institutions indicating that Lithuania in any way contributed to this,” she said.
Interior Minister Vladislav Kondratovič also said he had no additional information about the incident.
“We have no information; we are assessing the situation. No recorded observations from border guards were reported,” he said.
