Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree “On Measures to Develop International Road Freight Transportation” aimed at supporting domestic carriers and renewing their vehicle fleets.
The document provides for an exemption from the recycling fee in 2026 for newly imported грузовые vehicles meeting Euro 5 environmental standards or higher, as well as for trailers and semi-trailers. The benefit applies to vehicles no more than three years old from the date of manufacture.
“The decree is aimed at creating additional conditions for Belarusian road carriers to renew their fleets with vehicles that are competitive on the international market,” Lukashenka’s press service said.
The authorities expect the preference to increase exports of transport services and contribute to the development of Belarus’ export-oriented sector of the economy.
