The 2025 Human Rights Community Award ceremony is taking place today in Vilnius.
In the category “Human Rights Defender of the Year”, three people were named winners: Pavel Levinau, Alena Masliukova and Tatsiana Niadbai.
The winner in the category “Journalist of the Year” is Katsiaryna Abromchyk.
The campaign “A Prison Does Not Have a Woman’s Face” was recognised as “Human Rights Campaign/Initiative of the Year”.
The laureate in the category “Human Rights Solidarity of the Year” became political prisoner Volha Brytsikava, leader of the independent Naftan trade union, sentenced to five years in a penal colony.
