Belarus’s real disposable household incomes rose by 7.2% in January-February compared with the same period last year. In January alone, income growth had stood at 7.5%. By comparison, the figure increased by 9.6% over the whole of 2025.
Belarus’s official socio-economic development forecast for 2026, approved by Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s decree, envisages household income growth of 4.8%.
The structure of household incomes in January-February 2026 was as follows:
- wages — 64.9%;
- transfers to the population, including pensions, benefits, scholarships and other transfers — 23.2%;
- income from business and other income-generating activities — 7%;
- property income and other income — 4.9%.
The share of wages and property income in the overall structure declined, while the share of transfers to the population increased.
Real disposable household incomes are defined as monetary incomes minus taxes, duties and contributions, adjusted for the consumer price index for goods and services.
