The Narach region is expected to see the construction of new tourist accommodation facilities, as well as the reconstruction of the Minsk-Narach road. The issue was discussed at a government meeting on the development of the Narach resort area.
A package of measures for the development of the Narach region for 2026-2030 has been developed and approved to boost the area’s tourism potential. The document includes informational and event-related activities, measures to develop the material and technical base of health resorts, the creation of modern tourist infrastructure, and the development of Narachanski National Park, the Belarusian government’s press service said.
Several investment projects based at the Sosny, Pryazyorny and Sputnik sanatoriums are already underway. Additional tourist accommodation facilities are planned, including fishermen’s lodges, hotel-type houses and catering facilities.
The government is considering the reconstruction of the Minsk-Narach road, which would provide safe access to existing and future tourism and sports facilities.
Particular attention was also paid to the development of retail and catering facilities within the coastal zones of water bodies.
The meeting also discussed efforts to improve tourism infrastructure in the town of Narach and promote a unified brand for the Narach region.
