The Council of Ministers has summed up the results of the Year of Improvement. The best region, district and settlements were named following the review, the government’s press service reported.
The Homyel region was named the winner among the regions.
Seven best districts were also selected, one in each region and in Minsk. They are Bereza, Chashniki, Kalinkavichy, Lida, Maladzyechna and Shklou districts, as well as the Pershamaiski district of Minsk.
According to the results of the Year of Improvement, the winners of the review are:
- among regional centers — Hrodna;
- among cities with a population of more than 50,000 — Lida and Navapolatsk;
- in the category of cities and urban settlements with a population from 10,000 to 50,000 — Astravets, Zaslauye and Pruzhany;
- among cities and urban settlements with a population of up to 10,000 — Chashniki, Cherykau, Bialynichy and the urban settlement of Aktsyabrsky;
- the best rural settlements — Domzheritsy of the Lepel district, the agrotown of Aktsyabrskaya in the Vitsyebsk district, the agrotown of Karotki in the Kormyany district, the agrotown of Sheni in the Pruzhany district, and Lyaskavichy in the Ivanava district.
Belarus declared 2025 the Year of Improvement.
