Graduation celebrations will be held today in schools and gymnasiums across Minsk. More than 13,400 11th-grade students are completing their studies this year.

Police officers will be stationed at every educational institution, while traffic police crews will patrol roads near schools. Additional patrols have been deployed in parks, public gardens and recreational areas, as well as at major venues across the capital where dance and entertainment programmes have been organised for graduates.

Ahead of the celebrations, officers held talks with teachers and graduates on personal and property safety, as well as the consequences of violating public order.

The police reminded the public of administrative liability for drinking alcohol in public places and appearing in public while intoxicated.
