The State Control Committee has identified violations during an inspection of a Minsk-based contracting company that carried out the reconstruction of a road bridge in Minsk using budget funds.
According to the agency, the design organisation applied a profitability rate of 25% when calculating the cost of reinforced concrete products, although the rate for supplying such materials to publicly funded projects must not exceed 12%. As a result, the construction company unjustifiably received 452,000 rubles.
At the demand of inspectors, the cost of the products was reduced and corresponding amendments were made to the project cost documentation. The contracting company transferred the excess funds it had received to the state budget, the State Control Committee’s press service said.
