A worker was killed and two others were injured at Belaruskali’s Mine No. 3. The accident occurred on June 11, the company said.
At a depth of 620 metres, a salt-concrete barrier being constructed underground collapsed. As a result, a mine support worker born in 1975 was killed. A tractor driver born in 1991 and a student from the Salihorsk Mining and Chemical College who was undergoing practical training at the mine were injured.
The injured received medical assistance. The causes and circumstances of the incident are being established.
