Natalia Pauliuchenka, who until today held the post of Minister of Labor and Social Protection, has been appointed to the Council of the Republic. The corresponding decree was signed by Alyaksandr Lukashenka, his press service reported.
Andrei Labovich has been appointed the new Minister of Labor.
The head of the presidential administration, Dzmitry Krutoy, reported today that Pavliuchenka’s candidacy is being proposed to parliament to serve as chair of the relevant commission on social issues.
“The Year of Women. Women must not be offended under any circumstances. Therefore… She agrees to work in parliament, right?” Lukashenka said today while appointing the new minister.
He also noted that he was dissatisfied with the work of women in ministerial positions.
“I do not want to reproach our women who have worked as ministers so far, but they somehow looked modest,” he said.
