Former Homiel City Executive Committee Chairman Uladzimir Pryvalau, who was removed from office on May 12, has become the subject of a criminal case, Flagstok reports, citing a source connected to the executive authorities.

According to the source, Pryvalau is accused of irregularities involving the resale of apartments. The official spent some time in a detention center in Homiel, but may recently have been released under a written undertaking not to leave.

Pryvalau served as chairman of the Homiel City Executive Committee from 2022. On May 12, 2026, Ruslan Parkhamovich was appointed to the position.
