On May 26, a court in Mahiliou delivered its verdict to former defendant in the “White Legion” case Siarhei Strybulski. He was sentenced to 3.5 years in a medium-security penal colony on charges of facilitating “extremist activity” (Parts 1 and 2 of Article 361-4 of the Criminal Code), the Viasna Human Rights Centre reports.

In addition, Strybulski was fined 550 base units (24,750 Belarusian rubles).

Strybulski was detained in November 2025. He served two administrative detention terms and was then re-detained in connection with a criminal case.

In 2017, Strybulski was detained as part of the “White Legion” case. At that time, he spent 99 days behind bars. He was released after the case was closed due to the absence of a criminal offence.
