Forest Fire in Hrodna District Extinguished After Several Hours

A forest fire covering an area of 10 hectares was extinguished in the Hrodna district. The blaze was reported on the evening of May 2 by residents of a gardening association near the village of Uzberazh.

A total of 61 people and 15 units of equipment were involved at the scene, including 32 personnel from the Emergencies Ministry. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fire was extinguished by forestry workers and the Emergencies Ministry. The area affected by the fire was about 10 hectares. The site is being monitored by a drone.

The Emergencies Ministry reminded that in most cases forest fires are caused by human activity.
