Officials from the State Control Committee of the Homiel Region stopped the sale of expired and unregistered plant protection products at a retail pavilion in the central market of Homiel.

During the inspection, more than 60 units of plant protection products and fertilisers with expired shelf life were identified — with expiration periods ranging from three months to four years. In addition, more than 300 units of plant protection products had not undergone state registration and are banned from retail sale. A further 450 units lacked documentation confirming quality and safety.

The pavilion’s operations have been suspended, and all substandard products have been withdrawn from sale.
