The Belarusian initiative Dissidentby and the Poviat Labour Office in Poznan (PUP) have signed a cooperation agreement.

“The goal is to make access to professional support and labour market opportunities clearer and more accessible for our beneficiaries,” the initiative said.

The first meeting took place on February 16, during which PUP staff explained what kinds of support they can offer.

The cooperation includes group and individual sessions and consultations on employment and career guidance, as well as other labour market-related initiatives. Dissidentby and the labour office will jointly determine which actions and programmes of the centre will be most useful for Belarusians affected by repression.

Belarusians living in Poznan and the surrounding area who have been affected by repression, primarily former political prisoners, can contact Dissidentby to sign up for individual career consultations to address issues related to job searches, CV preparation and career guidance.

“Yes, it is possible to contact the labour office independently, but we know that many people find it difficult to understand where to go, what to ask for and how it all works. Through us, this process can be clearer and more reliable,” Dissidentby said.

The initiative can be contacted via email at [email protected] or through the contacts listed on its Telegram channel.
