Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya congratulated Belarusians celebrating Easter and, speaking about faith in the future, recalled the release of political prisoners.
“I congratulate everyone celebrating Easter today on the holiday. What is this holiday about? Yes, it is the day of Christ’s resurrection, but at the same time it is a celebration of a long-awaited miracle. A day when faith and hope triumphed over deceit and hostility,” the democratic forces leader said.
She recalled the recent releases of political prisoners that had seemed impossible a year earlier.
“What is a miracle in our time? Just a year ago, the release of several hundred political prisoners seemed impossible. But once a miracle happens, it no longer seems so unattainable. Remember: everything becomes possible when we do not lose faith and continue working for a better future. Even if something seems distant and impossible, there are days when light triumphs over darkness,” the politician added.
