The State Customs Committee reported on an inspection of a Homiel–Moscow–Homiel bus. As a result, passengers lost their goods.

According to the committee, the special operation was carried out by officers of Homiel customs at a section of the border with Russia. They stopped the bus, which was carrying entrepreneurs returning from Moscow.

“Eighteen individual entrepreneurs from Homiel and two other citizens, including the bus driver, intended to import more than 9,000 items of clothing and footwear with a total value of about 270,000 rubles without any documents. The goods were planned to be sold at markets in Homiel.”, the committee said.

The committee added that there was no information confirming payment of customs duties for importing the goods into the territory of the EAEU.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the alleged violators.
