A command-and-staff exercise is being held from May 31 to June 2 as part of a training camp for the territorial troops of the Lepel and Chashniki districts, the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s press service reported.
The stated objectives of the exercise are to improve officers’ skills in commanding subordinate territorial defence forces and to train personnel to act in a coordinated manner when carrying out territorial defence tasks.
The main focus will be on cooperation between territorial troops, internal affairs bodies and people’s militia units during the imposition of martial law and in countering enemy sabotage groups.
