Polish border guards detained a 30-year-old Lithuanian citizen who was attempting to leave Poland for Belarus in a Toyota using forged documents.
At the Terespol border crossing, Polish border guards noticed that the vehicle’s VIN number had been altered. It was also established that the car was fitted with fake registration plates and that the driver presented a forged vehicle registration certificate.
Pre-trial proceedings have been launched. The 2022 vehicle, valued at 180,000 zlotys (about $50,000), was seized, the Nadbuzhany Border Guard Unit reported.
