The BYSOL Foundation has launched an emergency fundraiser to support Belarusian political prisoners released today.
The full list of those released is not yet known.
The target amount is €100,000. The fundraising and payouts are carried out within BYSOL’s programme supporting political prisoners. The programme предусматривает assistance of €1,000 per person. If the amount collected exceeds the stated goal, all funds will be distributed among the released individuals.
To receive assistance, those released on March 19 must meet two criteria: have experienced politically motivated persecution and provide consent (or apply) to receive support by August 31, 2026. BYSOL accepts applications via Telegram at @bysol_pzk.
“We hope that caring people will join this fundraiser. Every contribution is very important. Such assistance provides hope and support and, of course, helps cover the most urgent needs — such as medicine, clothing, and food. We believe that having personal funds and being able to manage them according to one’s priorities is very important for every released person,” said Vitalijus Mockus, director of BYSOL.
It should be recalled that talks were held in Minsk today between Alyaksandr Lukashenka and US President’s Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale. Lukashenka said Belarus is ready to adhere to agreements with the United States regarding political prisoners.
