On January 20, the radiation situation in the area affected by the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant in Belarus remains stable. No exceedances above long-term established levels have been recorded, Belhydromet reported.

The ambient gamma dose rate is 0.34 µSv/h in Brahin, 0.11 µSv/h in Vasilevichy, 0.10 µSv/h in Zhytkavichi, and 0.10 µSv/h in Mazyr.

Earlier, the International Atomic Energy Agency reported that the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant had completely lost external power supply. Several Ukrainian electrical substations critical to nuclear safety were also damaged as a result of military actions.
