A Belarusian volunteer, Aliaksei Lazarau, has been killed in Ukraine. His wife, Veranika Yanovich, reported this on the social network X.

“My world has been killed — my dear husband Aliaksei Lazarau. At the beginning of 2025, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and defended the skies with dignity. He is and was an outstanding son of the Belarusian land. I admired and continue to admire his striving for a better world, in which we so wanted to create a large family,” she wrote.

The funeral will take place in Lviv.
