The state-owned channel Pervy Informatsionny has shown video footage from Hrodna of an unmanned aerial vehicle allegedly flown in from Lithuania. Propagandists described the incident as “a double provocation not only against Belarus but also against Poland”.

The video shows the drone lying first on a pavement and then on a lawn. Next to it are the drone’s “internal components”. The dimensions given are: length — 91 cm, height — 30 cm, width — 8.5 cm, wingspan — 1.5 m. The drone was equipped with navigation hardware, a video camera and two 32-gigabyte memory cards.

The camera operator shows a plate with markings on the drone’s wings — R250204 — and inscriptions on the propellers reading aero-naut camZcarbon, along with the website address aero-naut.de.

According to the TV channel, data analysis showed that the flight lasted 2 hours and 42 minutes. The drone was launched near Kapčiamiestis in Lithuania, was supposed to fly over Hrodna, enter Poland, turn around near the city of Bydgoszcz, and return to Lithuania along the same route.

Earlier today, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry said that on 30 November a drone entered Belarus from Lithuania and crashed in Hrodna. Belarus called the incident “a deliberate provocation”. The Interior Ministry stated that the unmanned aircraft was equipped with “a photo and video camera capable of collecting intelligence data” and had dropped “extremist” items — white-red-white flags.
