Belarusian customs authorities continue to monitor the movement of goods from Russia. This time, customs officers intercepted a Belarusian sole proprietor travelling in an IVECO van.

The vehicle contained goods that had been brought into the Eurasian Economic Union without documents confirming customs clearance. The driver also presented invalid documents for part of the cargo.

Customs officers found another surprise in the vehicle. They discovered 200 kilograms of green granules packed in plastic bags and concealed inside fruit boxes. An examination confirmed that the substance was nasvai, a smokeless tobacco mixture.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated.
