A Belarusian citizen traveling from Lithuania on 7 March through the Kamenny Loh border crossing was found carrying marijuana in his car.
The man was detained. He explained that he had bought the substance from unknown individuals in Lithuania and was transporting it to Belarus for personal use, the State Border Committee reported.
Two criminal cases have been opened for transporting narcotic substances across the border and for their illegal circulation. The detainee faces up to seven years of imprisonment.
