Belarusian Prime Minister Alyaksandr Turchyn has signed a Council of Ministers resolution setting new prices for gas as well as tariffs for electricity and heat supply for the population. The document provides for an increase in prices and tariffs from March 1, 2026, the Belarusian government’s press service reported.
The increase in payments is calculated based on distributing a rise of 22.5 roubles, or 0.5 of a base unit, for a standard apartment across all housing and utility services. The parameters were defined by a decree signed by Alyaksandr Lukashenka on January 23, 2026, No. 33 “On Establishing Tariffs for Housing and Utility Services for the Population in 2026”.
Gas prices will increase by 7.07 percent, resulting in an average rise in payments of 0.93 roubles.
Electricity tariffs will increase by 7 percent, leading to a payment increase of 2.99 roubles.
Heat supply tariffs will be raised from June 1, 2026, by 7.3 percent. As a result, payments will increase by 3.12 roubles, including 2.6 roubles for heating and 0.53 roubles for hot water supply.
Liquefied gas in cylinders will also become more expensive, with the price of one cylinder increasing by 1.7 roubles.
As previously reported, Lukashenka decided to postpone the increase in housing and utility tariffs for the population from January 1 to March 1, 2026. According to his press service, the government made the corresponding proposal, which Lukashenka supported. It was stated that “the decision was taken based on an approach aimed at preventing an additional burden on citizens when paying for housing and utility services”.
