The Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a statement in connection with the escalation of the situation in the Middle East and urged Belarusian citizens to refrain from traveling to countries in the region.

The foreign ministry called on the parties involved in the exchange of strikes to abandon further confrontation and return to resolving disagreements through political and diplomatic means.

“We are following with concern the escalation of the situation between Israel and Iran, which has also affected friendly countries of the Gulf. We call on the countries involved in the exchange of strikes to abandon dangerous confrontation and return to resolving all disagreements by political and diplomatic means,” the statement said, published at 14:48 Minsk time.
