Belarusian Customs Foil Import of Goods Worth 550,000 Rubles From Russia

Homiel customs officers detained a commercial shipment of foreign goods that a Belarusian carrier was transporting from Russia.

A truck was stopped near the Belarusian-Russian border. Inside were 12,500 units of various goods with a total value exceeding 550,000 rubles. The driver was unable to present documents for the cargo, the State Customs Committee reported.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated under Article 13.12 of the Administrative Code. The carrier faces a fine of up to 280,000 rubles.
