A ceremony to hand over communications equipment to military units was held at the 619th Base for the Storage, Repair, Modernisation and Disposal of Communications Equipment, the Belarusian Defence Ministry’s press service reported. Around 15 vehicles and more than 50 mobile communications kits were delivered to the armed forces. The equipment documentation was presented by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Pavel Muraveika.
According to Muraveika, the Belarusian army’s tactical command level “is equipped with digital communications lines” that allow commanders to monitor every serviceman on the battlefield in real time using a tablet, laptop or a combat vehicle display. The equipment was supplied to mechanised brigades, military educational institutions and training centres.
“On today’s battlefield, victory belongs to those who possess information, receive signals quickly and transmit commands without delay. The army is equipped in line with the latest global trends,” Muraveika said.
