Belarusian and Vietnamese security agencies are creating a joint working group. State Secretary of the Security Council Alyaksandr Valfovich and Vietnam’s Minister of Public Security Luong Tam Quang signed a protocol establishing a joint working group to expand and strengthen cooperation in the field of security.
According to the Security Council Secretariat, earlier the sides signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of security and a cooperation plan for 2024–2026.
“Taking into account the upgrade of relations with Vietnam to a strategic partnership this year, we agreed to implement a new form of interaction. For the first time, a protocol has been signed with the Ministry of Public Security to create a joint working group to expand and strengthen cooperation in the field of security. This is a permanent mechanism,” Valfovich explained.
During his visit to Vietnam, the first expert consultations were also held. Individual reports focused on the exchange of experience accumulated by both sides in ensuring information security, combating cybercrime, and issues related to the regulation and use of artificial intelligence technologies.
