2 million tonnes of oil were produced in Belarus in 2025, a record annual output for the past 30 years, according to the press service of Belorusneft.

“The record was registered by the Integrated Operations Centre of the Oil and Gas Production Department Rechitsaneft. This is where the operation of the unique intellectual system ‘Digital Field’ is coordinated,” the press service said.

According to Aliaksandr Tsybrankou, head of the oil and gas production department, modern technologies and the integrated development of hydrocarbon reserves played a key role in setting the record.

Belorusneft recalled that in 1975 the company reached its peak annual oil production of about 8 million tonnes. Subsequently, due to limited reserves and other objective reasons, this level declined for decades. Only in 2017 did output begin to increase gradually.

“In 2026, we plan to reach an annual level of 2 million 100 thousand tonnes of oil, and by 2030 — 2 million 300 thousand tonnes. A large комплекс of work lies ahead to ensure the country’s energy security,” Aliaksandr Tsybrankou said.
