Belarus’s Ministry of Justice registered the Chamber of Realtors on April 16. The new organization was created on the initiative of representatives of the real estate community from various regions and Minsk. Hennadz Shykhantsou, a realtor at the Minsk City Agency for State Registration and Land Cadastre, was elected head of the Chamber.

The Justice Ministry expects that the creation of the Chamber will allow professionals to directly participate in shaping standards and rules of practice, respond more quickly to market changes, and strengthen consumer rights protection.

Justice Minister Yauhen Kavalenka met with members of the board and discussed the organization’s strategic directions. The sides discussed key areas of the Chamber’s work and its short-term tasks, including admission of new members, information work within the real estate community, and strengthening consumer rights protection.

From May 16, 2026, only members of the Chamber will be allowed to provide realtor services on behalf of a real estate organization. Admission to the Chamber is handled by the board, and the list of members will be published on the official website.

As the Chamber of Realtors stated, one of its key tasks is “to clear the market of unfair practices and build respect for the profession”.
