Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree approving a draft agreement between the governments of Belarus and Ghana on visa-free travel for holders of diplomatic and service passports. The Foreign Ministry has been authorized to conduct negotiations and sign the document.
Under the draft agreement, holders of diplomatic and service passports from the two countries will be able to enter, stay, leave and transit through each other’s territory without visas for up to 30 days from the date of entry. The total duration of stay must not exceed 90 days within a calendar year.
“The agreement is aimed at developing and strengthening cooperation between Belarus and Ghana and creating favorable conditions for intensifying contacts between the state authorities of the two countries,” Lukashenka’s press service said.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been authorized to conduct negotiations on the draft agreement and sign it.
It was reported earlier that the President of Ghana is expected to visit Belarus in early June.
