Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn held talks with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the Belarusian government’s press service reported.
Turchyn said that the United Arab Emirates is a long-standing friend of Belarus and expressed confidence that cooperation between the two countries would continue to expand. According to him, UAE investors have already implemented a number of landmark projects in Minsk, while agreements signed during the previous visit will provide fresh momentum to trade and economic relations.
“There are a number of proposals. Even within the city of Minsk itself, a whole range of landmark projects have been implemented with the participation of investors from your country, and others are currently being carried out. Therefore, I am confident that we have a broad field for further joint action,” he said.
Al Zeyoudi said the parties discussed the implementation and ratification of bilateral agreements signed last year and expressed hope that they would fully enter into force by the end of 2026. Among the projects under discussion, he mentioned investments in the Northern Waterfront project, telecommunications, food security, a data center, poultry production and trade.
“It was an excellent meeting. We had a very productive dialogue with the prime minister. Representatives of our business community also engaged very effectively with their Belarusian counterparts. We discussed the bilateral agreements signed last year, their implementation, ratification and expectations. We hope they will fully enter into force by the end of this year.
We also discussed various investments, including the Northern Waterfront project, investments in telecommunications, food security, trade and a data center, as well as investments and cooperation in industry, poultry production and other projects that will undoubtedly benefit both countries. We are confident that this dialogue will produce positive results and further development in all areas,” he said.
