Contracts worth 9 million dollars are being signed at the Belarus–Myanmar business forum in Yangon. This was announced by Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhankou. According to him, the two countries signed a cooperation plan for 2026–28 today.
“This is not just a gathering of businesspeople who want to learn something about Myanmar or Belarus. Representatives of businesses who are signing contracts worth around 9 million dollars have come here with concrete objectives,” he said, as reported by BelTA.
It is reported, in particular, that an agreement has been signed to establish an assembly production of MTZ tractors in Myanmar. Sales and service centers will be organized. A contract has been signed for the supply of 400 tractor kits BELARUS 451, 522, and 820. Notably, the MTZ press service indicates the value of the contract in Russian rubles — 580 million Russian rubles.
The business forum is taking place on the eve of Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s visit to Myanmar. The Belarusian delegation at the forum includes more than 40 representatives from state bodies and businesses.
