Alyaksandr Milinkevich in Intensive Care After Surgery

Politician Alyaksandr Milinkevich has been admitted to intensive care after surgery and is in very serious condition, his wife Ina Kuley reported.

“Alyaksandr is in intensive care, his condition is very serious. A stenting operation was performed on the carotid artery, where 80% of the lumen had been blocked by a clot. When it was removed, it opened like a sluice — the blood flow became very strained, the pressure very high. I endlessly believe that with God’s help his body must cope. I believe and I pray,” Kuley wrote on Facebook.

Alyaksandr Milinkevich was the sole opposition candidate in the 2006 presidential election. In 2023 he became an external adviser to Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya.
