Member of the “Volya” faction Aleksandr Kabanov has left the Coordination Council, its press service said. The reasons for his decision were not disclosed.
Kabanov is a former political prisoner and blogger. In Belarus, he was sentenced to three years in prison for insulting a government official and grossly violating public order.
He was released in December 2022 and left Belarus. After his departure, Kabanov joined BYPOL and continued working with the team of Matvei Kupreichik, Vladimir Zhigar, and others following the organization’s restructuring.
