Administrative procedures are being simplified in Belarus. A decree amending regulatory acts on the implementation of administrative procedures was signed today. It is noted that the amendments were made taking into account law enforcement practice and changes in legislation.
“The document is aimed at reducing the administrative burden on citizens, optimizing and simplifying a significant number of procedures. The changes were introduced on a comprehensive basis and with consideration of proposals from the public, as well as a wide range of interested bodies and organizations,” the statement said.
The number of required documents is being reduced for more than 100 administrative procedures. For example, when submitting documents confirming payment for a number of procedures, the capabilities of the ERIP system will be used more extensively.
State bodies will also request a significant portion of the necessary information independently, including through automated information systems. In particular, parents will no longer need to obtain certificates related to children’s entitlement to vouchers funded from the state budget. The relevant information will be automatically requested from the unified accounting system of such children at the Republican Centre for Wellness and Sanatorium Treatment.
Timeframes for several administrative procedures are being shortened.
“At the same time, new administrative procedures are being introduced to allow citizens to exercise their rights more fully. For example, this concerns obtaining guardianship authority consent for the disposal of residential property in the interests of a minor child under state care.
To strengthen the legal protection of citizens, additional documents are being introduced for certain procedures. This applies, for instance, to transactions requiring state registration of real estate that results in joint marital property rights,” the press service of Alyaksandr Lukashenka explained.
