Activist From Hrodna to Be Tried on 10 Charges

Activist from Hrodna Valiantsina Navumava has been charged under 10 articles, reported Hrodna Human Rights. She was detained in September 2025.

Navumava has been charged under the following articles:

• Article 16, Part 6 (aiding and abetting participation in a crime),
• Article 130, Parts 1 and 3 (incitement of other social hatred),
• Article 188 (defamation),
• Article 203-1, Part 3 (violation of the secrecy of correspondence and telephone conversations),
• Article 361-4, Parts 1 and 2 (facilitating extremist activity, the same actions committed repeatedly),
• Article 367, Part 2 (defamation of Lukashenka),
• Article 368, Part 1 (insulting Lukashenka),
• Article 369 (insulting a government official),
• Article 370 (desecration of state symbols),
• Article 391 (insulting a judge).

Navumava was for a long time a member of the left-wing party Fair World. In 2017, she was tried in an administrative case for participating in a protest against the “social parasites” decree.
