Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, her deputy Pavel Latushka, Representative for National Revival Pavel Barkouski, Representative for Youth Policy and Students Marharyta Vorychava, and Head of the Cabinet Secretariat Valery Matskevich laid flowers at the monument to Taras Shevchenko in Warsaw on the anniversary of the start of Russia’s full-scale aggression against Ukraine, the Cabinet’s press service reported.

Tsikhanouskaya thanked Ukrainians and noted that they are defending not only their own country, but all of Europe.

“Through their selflessness and devotion to their country, they set an example for democratic states of how important it is to preserve independence and resist Russian aggression. They have finally shown the entire world what the ‘Russian world’ really is,” Tsikhanouskaya said.

The head of the Cabinet also thanked fighters of the Kastuś Kalinoŭski Regiment, Belarusian volunteers, and the Belarusian diaspora in Ukraine.

“And I would like to address Belarusians who for all these four years have stood on Ukraine’s side. These are our fighters from the Kalinoŭski Regiment and other units. These are our Belarusian volunteers who help civilians and who created a Point of Invincibility in Kyiv. They are the true ambassadors of Belarus in Ukraine today. Of course, I also want to thank the entire Belarusian diaspora, which for all these four years has been helping both the Ukrainian army and our fighters in Ukraine,” Tsikhanouskaya said.

Tsikhanouskaya stressed that Belarusians and Ukrainians see their future in Europe.

“We, Belarusians and Ukrainians, see our future together in Europe. I am very grateful to President Zelenskyy for also seeing this future. As he said: ‘Europe’s eastern border runs along Belarus’s eastern border,’” Tsikhanouskaya said.
