Tariff Preference For Importing Electric Vehicles Into Belarus To Take Effect On January 22

A tariff preference for importing electric vehicles into Belarus will take effect on January 22. This was reported by the Eurasian Economic Commission. In addition to Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have also received tariff preferences within the Eurasian Economic Union for the coming year.

In 2026, Belarus will be able to import 20,000 electric vehicles duty-free. The measure applies to vehicles classified under customs code 8703 80 000 3. Hybrid vehicles are not included in the quota for Belarus, and only vehicles equipped exclusively with an electric motor will be eligible for duty-free import.
