The State Customs Committee has explained the procedure for refunding customs payments paid by individuals when purchasing goods from foreign online stores.
The cases in which a refund of customs duties or payments is possible are set out in Paragraph 1 of Article 67 of the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union and Paragraph 3 of Article 55 of the Law On Customs Regulation in the Republic of Belarus.
Individuals who purchased goods for personal use from a foreign online store, released them for free circulation, and then returned them to the store cannot expect a refund of the customs payments paid, the State Customs Committee explained.
