Belarus’ Ambassador to India and Sri Lanka Mikhail Kasko met with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Anura Karunathilaka.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed air links between the two countries, including relocating the regular flight from Mattala to Colombo.

“We agreed that this decision will play an important role in further promoting Sri Lanka as a destination among Belarusian citizens, taking into account the introduction of visa-free entry, and will also make travel easier for Sri Lankan citizens studying and doing business in Belarus,” the Foreign Ministry said.

The sides also noted the positive momentum in bilateral relations.
