Several military units of the Western and Northwestern Operational Commands have been placed on alert today as part of an inspection ordered by Aliaksandr Lukashenka. This was announced by State Secretary of the Security Council Aliaksandr Valfovich.
“Today we are continuing the inspection of a number of military units. This stage is characterized by continued surprise, complexity, and breadth in carrying out assigned tasks, as well as its scale. If earlier we inspected one military unit after another, at present presidential orders have been issued to a number of military units of the Western and Northwestern Operational Commands, as well as several units and formations of the special operations forces,” he said.
According to him, issues related to bringing military units that are part of the immediate response forces into combat readiness under peacetime staffing levels will be practiced. Stocks of materiel and weapons will be loaded. Formations will conduct marches to designated areas and assigned lines, including near the state border.
“In the course of carrying out the tasks, issues of countering enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups will be practiced. Upon arrival in designated areas and at assigned lines, a system of engineering obstacles will be organized, and issues of conducting a defensive battle will also be practiced.
After practicing tactical episodes under the impact of enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups, the formations and military units will return to training grounds, where control exercises in fire and physical training will be conducted,” Valfovich added.
