Putin And Lukashenka Discuss “Current International Issues”

On the evening of Saturday, March 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Aliaksandr Lukashenka held a telephone conversation. One of the topics was the “international situation.”

The Kremlin press service reported that “issues of further development of bilateral cooperation in various areas, as well as current international topics, were discussed.”

The press service of Lukashenka provided a more detailed account.

“During the conversation between the heads of state, the focus was on cooperation in trade, economic and investment spheres, as well as the implementation of joint mutually beneficial projects.

Particular emphasis was placed on the need for the earliest possible practical implementation of the agreements reached in February at the meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State.

The presidents also discussed the most pressing issues of the international situation and the situation in the region,” the statement said.
