By the end of 2026, Belarus will introduce the option to register pets through the Unified Electronic Services Portal, E-Pasluga. This was announced by Sviatlana Karanevich, head of the e-commerce department at the National Center for Electronic Services, BelTA reports.

“Everyone knows how pressing the issue of pet registration is now. By the end of the year, this administrative procedure should become available on the portal,” she said.

A number of new administrative procedures are also scheduled to be launched through E-Pasluga in 2026. These include obtaining permits to subdivide land plots, securing approval for the redevelopment of residential and non-residential premises, obtaining civil registry certificates, and receiving approval to install individual antennas on the roofs and facades of buildings.

According to Karanevich, 87 new electronic services have already been added to the portal this year. Among them is the ability to submit documents for registration on the housing waiting list for citizens in need of improved living conditions.

She noted that the digitalization of administrative procedures does not mean eliminating in-person interaction with government authorities altogether. For example, couples registering a marriage through the portal will only be able to submit documents and choose the date and location of the ceremony, while the official registration itself will still take place at the civil registry office.

“The emotional aspect is not disappearing at all,” Karanevich stressed.

“As for registering a child, it is much easier to do so while staying at home with the child than by visiting the civil registry office in person,” she added.
